KKR will take management control of a new renewable energy platform in South Korea valued at ₩2 trillion (US$1.3bn), launched jointly with SK Inc. The platform integrates wind, solar, and fuel-cell assets into the country's largest renewables vehicle.

The customer thesis is explicit: clean power demand from chipmakers and AI data centers. With Korea planning 18.4GW of AI data-center capacity by 2035 and fabs expanding on RE100 commitments, contracted green power in Korea has an unusually visible demand curve.

For SK, the structure recycles capital out of infrastructure and back toward semiconductors and data centers while retaining strategic alignment; for KKR, it deepens a bet on Asia's compute-driven power buildout.
