Home/About SOLOMON PARTNERS

An investment firm built on technical judgement.

SOLOMON PARTNERS is a privately held, technology-focused investment and advisory partnership headquartered in Seoul. The firm invests its own capital, arranges capital for others, and provides independent technology assessment, due diligence, and expert opinion services across the deep-technology economy.

Our founding idea.

Capital has never been more abundant, and technical judgement never scarcer. Firms that can read a balance sheet are everywhere; firms that can read a flight-test log, a process-node roadmap, a qubit coherence budget, or a data-center power study are rare. SOLOMON PARTNERS was founded on the belief that in deep technology, the decisive edge in investing — and the most valuable service to clients — is the ability to evaluate the technology itself, honestly and independently.

Our heritage.

The partnership did not begin in 2026. Its partners have arranged and invested capital since the early 2000s — through venture capital houses, KOSDAQ-listed operating companies, and Paradigm Partners, a Ministry of SMEs & Startups registered accelerator (Reg. No. 2018-42) founded in 2014. Across thirty-three transactions the partners arranged US$308m and deployed US$12.3m of their own capital, forming four investment associations along the way. That record of committee-governed investing, listed-company management, and fundraising is the operating system SOLOMON PARTNERS now applies to deep technology. The full record and the partners' profiles are set out on our Track Record page.

What we do.

The firm operates three practices under one roof. Through Principal Investments we commit the partnership's own capital to deep-technology companies. Through Capital Formation we design and run fundraising processes for exceptional companies, connecting them with venture, growth, strategic, and institutional investors in Korea and internationally. Through Technology Advisory we deliver independent technology assessments, technical due diligence, and written expert opinions to investors, boards, lenders, corporates, and government programs.

Where we focus.

Our coverage is deliberately concentrated: semiconductors, aerospace and space, bio and life sciences, drones and unmanned systems, quantum computing, data centers and AI infrastructure, digital assets and blockchain, and the adjacent frontier of robotics, applied AI, advanced materials, and photonics. These are hardware-rich, engineering-intensive sectors where superficial analysis fails — and where our kind of work compounds.

How we work.

Small, senior teams. Every engagement is led by one of the firm's four partners and staffed from a standing network of thirty-five-plus independent professionals — engineers, doctorate-level sector specialists, accountants, patent and transaction attorneys, and former program managers — so each team includes people who have built, tested, or certified the class of technology under review. We write in plain language, we quantify what can be quantified, and we say clearly what we do not know. Our reports are built to be relied upon — by investment committees, boards, credit committees, and public programs.

Independence.

Because we are both an investor and an evaluator, we treat independence as an operating discipline, not a slogan. Advisory engagements are screened against the firm's investment interests; conflicts are disclosed before engagement; and assessment conclusions are never contingent on any transaction outcome. We decline mandates where independence cannot be assured.

What we will not do.

We will not lend our name to conclusions we have not verified. We will not accept success fees on opinions. We will not market product as advice. Where the placement of securities is a regulated activity, we conduct it with duly licensed partners who perform the regulated activity under their own licences.
