Firefly wins US$144m NASA lunar contract — and a Mars subcontract.

Firefly Aerospace has been awarded a US$144m NASA CLPS contract for an accelerated Blue Ghost lunar mission, adding to the company's manifest after Blue Ghost became the first fully successful commercial lunar landing in 2025.

Separately, NASA JPL awarded Firefly a US$13m subcontract to build an aeroshell for the SkyFall Mars mission — the entry, descent, and landing hardware that shields a spacecraft through the Martian atmosphere.

The pairing matters: CLPS validates Firefly as a repeat lunar delivery provider, while the Mars work extends its hardware franchise beyond the Moon. Commercial planetary logistics is consolidating around the few teams with flight-proven landers.
